The hare and the tortoise

I read "The hare and the tortoise", usborne first reading, level three book.
Harry hare loves running-and he loves talking about it too.
When he suggests a race, nobody expects Tom Tortoise to take up the challenges.
Does Tom really think he can beat the fastest hare in history?

This book is famous for"Usagitokame" in Japan.
I think that having to self-confidence is bad for oneself.
Because like this, it bring about a lot of problems.
And at the same time, making effort don't betray.
Although, the tortoise took a long time to reach the goal,
he never give up.
It is one of the wonderful stories I have ever read.
